I think TimGs point was that if you have to darken the room, put up a solid black image and take a long exposure to show the problem, then for many it isn't a problem at all.
Of course, everyone's use case is different. I personally don't watch movies on my machines. The first thing I will do when I get the monitor? Set it up and continue on with my work. If I notice bleed while doing the things I typically do, then I will contact LG.

kevinriversYeah, basically. If I cannot see it in normal use case.. non-issue to me. Going to extreme's to display it isn't a concern to me.. Even my current Dell monitor 23" does it.. I didn't know it until I started looking because of the discussion here in the forum, .. had to turn my room into a dark room to see it..
