Just a heads up, Amazon selling AA 2.0 for $17.99 - 20% coupon =$14.39 free shipping with Prime! Does not include 14500 battery per this drop. I'm not bashing MD, I buy a lot from here but you have to do your research to ensure you are getting the best possible deal. Sometimes it's impossible to compete with Jeff's monster child! LOL

Love2FishI have the Tool 2.0 now and I used to have the OG Tool until I lost it. I liked the Tool better because it didn't have memory and would always come on to low first. And from what I can tell, you can't get the Tool on Amazon anymore

paniconenvyI hear you, I prefer a torch without the memory function also. I have never own either version but for $10 less after tax and shipping I think it's worth having to keep in a tool box or glove box as a beater.

Love2FishDefinitely worth having. If you aren't carrying it as a daily light, the mode memory is insignificant and the extra lumens/longer runtime on the Tool 2.0 are useful

CpowCorrect, it does not include the 14500 battery as I mentioned in my original comment. The coupon has expired and is no longer available. I bought two of the Tool 2.0 for $28.78 shipped (already received). I was not making an "apples to apples" comparison, I was merely offering an additional option for anyone interested.
