I have two of these, one stainless steel and the other copper. My wife has the steel one, which she doesn't ever seem to use because we are usually together at night, and we rely on mine, which I always have with me.
I have always been driven crazy by flashlights, because so often, they work for awhile and then they sometimes do and mostly don't. The best one I had before I got these was a leftover right angled WWII surplus item that takes two D cells. I still have it and sometimes use it.
These are different. They are very well made, so far seem to be very reliable. I really like the wide angle beam. It serves me better for almost every purpose. Getting around at night in the dark is the main thing, and the wide beam is far more practical than spot beams, no matter how powerful they are. I have also used it for photography in the dark. It's great for that. It's very hard to get even light with a spot beam.

kingfisherIt’s been almost a year and a half since I wrote my review of this light. I’m still using it, still love it, and I have had a whole year of frequent use on a single long-life lithium ion battery. If I could give it more stars, I would.
