There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. Now if you've got a better suggestions for single-cell AAA lights than the ones offered here, we're all ears. But not if you are comparing Apple's to Oranges. It's not always about $$$. Some of the mini torches here have high aesthetic appeal as well. Anyone can go buy an 8$ 3-cell aluminum LED flashlight at HomeDepot and probably be happy with it.
Others here are not interested in cheap. Some are collectors. Others are looking specifically for a Copper, Brass, or Titanium version of a specific torch. Others appreciate the high intensity or color of a specific element. Still others want the smallest form-factor they can find. Declaring that you have a found a cheap light, with comparably cheaper features, isn't helpful.
