@Massdrop Why match Crees runtime when people wants the lumens? Could you get Lumintop to drive the Nichia LED Med mode to get 32lumens? That's the work horse mode. Leave the Low (3lm) and High(80lm) the way it is. I don't think runtime is gonna an issue if you use rechargeable. I haven't seen any manufacturer do that with HCRI leds.

B.manThe difference between 18 and 32 will not be huge. If I recall, it takes 4x the lumens to equal double the brightness. So this would appear about 75% of the brightness of the Cree.
