I was comparing this to the EE Revelation and Enigma 20 deg. offerings, and EE's quilts have about an ounce more of 850 down for the same temperature rating. Maybe this has been covered, and if so, I apologize, but that doesn't quite make sense. How do two quilts with similar dimensions have the same temp rating when one has 12 oz of 800 fill and the other has over 13 oz of 850 fill?
Lefty11Different design. Seriously. The EE quilts are a hexagonal shape. They have more space and volume around the legs and lower torso. Our quilt is a trapazium* which simply requires less fabric and less down, but isn't quite as roomy in the legs and footbox. It might not look like a big difference from the top, but if you opened up the quilts (which would require cutting ours), you'd see it right away.
*yes I had to look that up.
DannyMilksFrom this statement the conclusion is these are not made by enlightened equipment. Are they ee quilts? You say ee quilts are this, our quilts are different. This leads 1 to conclude they are not ee. I would like to know if they are ee or not. Thank you.
