Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Your photo is deceptive since the space in your photo is blacked out and does not look bad in this photo you posted. I will try to get a few photos up. Your photo does look similiar in respect to 1/16" space between the metal and the wood. If the space was not blacked out as in your photo rather unfinished as mine are it really sticks out.
Perhaps this is acceptable to you. It is not acceptable to me. You will see when I post photos. I would consider it if we were talking about a $50.00 set of cans. These are $400.00 and I do expect some form of quality control in todays age of micrometer, lathes and CNC machines which can measure down to billion's of an inch. Wait for my pictures. Also a place for grime and crap to gather and clog up the space. This was simply over cut too much. It should be a flush fit.
I will try to get pictures up tonight.
Now, if your argument is that the wood in the gap should be varnished/lacquered, then that is a different point altogether. IMO, you are simply wasting your breath there as we are talking about a gap less than 1mm that no one will be able to see.
^ THIS! I didn't even know it was there and had to check. Also had to check my Teaks.

2. My cans, there is no joint, it has been removed by excessive milling which has bottomed out the vertical plane and than proceeds to remove excessive 1/16" of wood into the wooden cup. This is a mistake. Not a joint and is certainly different from everything I have seen. Majority of what I have seen is basically worthless since the photographs depict a black shadow thus not revealing what lies below, hiding the complete joint.
Apparently, my emails are disappearing. Seem to be censored by MassDrop who will not own up to their bait and switch consumer fraud with these headphones.
What I don't get is you're so adamant that every single one of these is a defective seconds unit but you're the ONLY person out of the 5200 people that have bought this and has posted here complaining about any form of manufacturing defect of these headphones. (Even though the general consensus by the community is that there is absolutely nothing wrong with your headphones, but that is beside the point, Massdrop will look into that)
Also you seem to be outright defaming Massdrop saying they are this terrible malicious company that is only out to send you defective products without disclosure (which is a pretty serious claim) and constantly posting in here trying to persuade others from buying them with your outrageous claims. Out of all the time I've been here in the community, you are the only person I've ever seen say such a thing. I challenge you to find anything anywhere elsewhere of that nature. Seriously go browsing through other drops and see what typically is said/happens in other drops.
Honestly the fit you've gone through all over this discussion page reminds me of a 2 year old throwing a tantrum. Honestly ma'am, get it together. Have you even bothered listening to the headphones yet?
Cambo, your statement above paragraph is not what I am saying rather what you are stating that I am saying which is incorrect. I don't recall ever making a statement about the other 5200 people. I have not seen their headphones and I don't care. If they are happy with them that is all that matters. I cannot comment on what I have not seen.
My comments pertain solely to the headphones I received from MassDrop which I went to the trouble to take photos of. I can most certain make comments about what I am holding in my hands and have examined. That is what my comments have been based on, in addition to numerous people here stating that all the others are like that including models x, y and z including the old Denons. Your paragraph is incorrect and is not what I said.
I always get defamation mixed up. Slander is making untrue verbal statements in public. Liable is false written statements. None of my statements I made are false. I will be happy to go to any court of law and repeat my statements and illustrate my complaint to the court. I feel MassDrop is the one who would be on the loosing end of that. There has been no ill will on my part towards MassDrop rather my factual explanation of being unsatisfied with the product I received versus the product they depicted in photos and narrative.
