Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. If the person was using a high powered DAP, maybe I'd believe but who uses open back outside?
What I'm trying to say is, why false advertise showing that it can be used outside when they are clearly not meant to. You are throwing off the next person who have no clue what they are buying.
My whole point of all this is, even if you have a "capable" smartphone or high powered DAP or even a Woo Audio WA8, why use an Open Back? Outside noises messes with the immersion of the music as well as publicly announcing your music to the person next to you.
I totally understand that some phones can get good sound out of these but doesn't it bother you that you are not getting full use of your headphone? The K7XX would have been a better portable solution. I own many open back headphones, HiFi-MAN HE350, AGK K7XX, Sennheiser 598SE.
