Few weeks ago I got HD6xx. I love it. Before them I was use 20$ headphone, good one but not even close to HD6xx. I was thinking to buy ifi idsd nano BL but when I connected it to laptop I was notice that I'm not using more then 60% of windows volume!? I play games(most of time when I using headphone) and listen music. Only because of HD6xx I was download flac music, so I can hear difference in sound quality (I'm not audiophille, I don't have audiophille ear). But I can hear difference compare to old headphones. Only question for myself is do I need dac/amp? Maybe I can buy Fulla 2 or Fiio E10K. Still wondering!?

Toothless_SnakeI really like how Fulla 2 looks and especially I like it because it is usb powered, but some reviews were concerned about knob. I'm using headphone/laptop only for weekends. During business days I'm too busy to enjoy. Toothless_Snake thanks for advice.

TheAgroninjaCongrats :) A good dac amp will surely help your hd6xx a lot. Have you looked into Micca Origen G2?

If you can buy a Fulla 2 then consider a used Modi + Magni stack. You can get a pair from eBay used for almost the same price except they are better. I like the Fulla form factor but it distorts some at higher volumes and lacks power, which the HD 6xx’s like. Pic related, you have a variety of quality and option points. Newer models have higher numbers and “Uber” are an enhanced versions that you don’t really need.
ValVadimI went with Aune X1S

ValVadimYesterday I was comparing sound of HD6xx with laptop PowerSpec 1710 and a/v receiver Sony str-dh550. I was using optical cable to connect laptop with a/v receiver and set at receiver Pure Direct sound. Str-dh550 is louder and bass is stronger, but not too much at same volume level (I was trying to find same volume level, max windows volume and looking for same loudness at sony). I was trying to find which audio chip is inside of laptop but couldn't find it, only what I know it is sound blaster. I know that everyone says it is better with DAC/AMP but I wish I could try it before I decide does I need it.
ValVadim I'm not interested in Schiit stack because I need something small and portable, only usb powered is acceptable for me. I can spend max 200$ if it is worth for me but I was pleasantly surprised about sound quality only from laptop and I didn't hear big quality difference between laptop and a/v receiver. Maybe this laptop has really good audio chip or it is just me (maybe I really don't have ear to hear big difference 😲 ) I don't like to listen too loud music anymore. When I have wish to listen loud music I'm using str-dh550 and big speakers.

TheAgroninjaCheck out the ifi nano idsd bl. That is what i use as my portable dac/amp and it's quite a steal for the price.
