There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now at this point, everyone should be thinking about the most well-know Panda, The Rolex Panda, which is actually a Daytona, and among Rolex Daytonas, the most famous of which is the Paul Newman Daytona, which was famous first, because it was Paul's, and second because it sold at auction for $17.8 million (US Dollars). The story of that auction is well-known so I'll only...

Hey everyone, Techwear.Intern here and I'm super freakin' excited to share with you my very first official product release - designed in Vancouver, Canada and developed with extensive collaboration with Massdrop! https://www.instagram.com/techwear.intern/
Massdrop x Intern - Series 1: Modular Pockets & Packits. The first seven products in an ecosystem of user-configurable pouches and organization. Built with a nowaste manufacturing methodology. Featuring a brand new system of compatibility that I'm calling the Modular Adaptive Carry Standard - MACS. By mixing and matching items built with MACS compatibility, you’ll have the freedom to create the perfect carrying solution for a day, a weekend, a trip; whatever your life demands (they also attach anywhere with 1in webbing connections, such as the MOLLE, PALS, and ARKIV and TECSYS systems too!).
Modular Adaptive Carry Standard [MACS] No-Waste Manufacturing USA Made Dimension-Polyant X-Pac VX-07 Fabric USA Made Lenzip Raindefyer Waterproof Laminated Zippers Woojin Hardware and Buckles Limitless Customizable Configurations Designed in Vancouver, Canada for Massdrop.com
And because it’s Massdrop, you have a say in what’s to come next. Stay tuned and share your thoughts with Massdrop and Myself and let us know what features and solutions you'd like to add in the future! Duffels, backpacks, laptop and phone cases - we have a lot planned already and just about anything is possible to explore with a bit of abstract thinking. Visit this post to learn more about me, The Techwear Intern, and let us know what you'd like to see tackled next! Thank you so much for your support! I can't wait to hear from you all!
Check out my Talkpost below for more details about my work as the Techwear.Intern and what I have planned with Massdrop in the future: https://www.massdrop.com/talk/8260/massdrop-x-intern-modular-adaptive-carry-standard
Check out my instagram - https://www.instagram.com/techwear.intern/, you'll see pretty quick what I'm about I think. The cropped faces is an attempt to anonymize myself as a brand... I want my work to speak for itself and I hope that the feedback and discourse is around the product and its successes and shortcomings. This creates an environment, much like SPACE, where the quest is to constantly improve ones results!
As for the price, I'd like to note that the final sales price is far far below typical industry standards for markup... and it was actually a fight to get the cost so low. I had to introduce an entirely new approach to efficient manufacturing in order to drop the cost. There's no possible means to lower the price of these products without compromising materials quality, taxing the skilled workers who manufacture these products, or ordering unit quantities in excess of 10,000pieces per pouch.
I'm a kid who works everyday and night to make things I hope people will enjoy. Most of the time I'm waiting for the business I work with to send checks, stuck in pay cycles... often wondering how I'll make rent or pay my bills. There's no fancy cars in my life, I live in a glorified hammock 15ft above my sewing machines and crank 18hours most days. Sewing and craft is my passion and I love that the community I shared my work with these past few months has given me the opportunity to do what I love most every day and night.
As for your request for a SF friendly photographic style, here's a few swanky Sanfran city steet pics. :)
Be well my man. All the things to you and yours! :)
This one's for you! https://www.instagram.com/p/BkROuBkFNtY/
I have a number of friends in the VPD, we unfortunately connected earlier this year when someone broke into SPACE and stole nearly my entire wardrobe fresh from the cleaners! I produce for them bespoke tactical gear custom built to suit their individual needs... entirely at my own expense. They come visit me just to hang and talk gear while I work latenight sometimes!
Got a vest in the studio right now! ready for modification! :)
That's a lot of angst over some fucking pouches.
... I don't even do graffiti or like rap music. :(
I'm a materials scientist sir. Jeans don't touch my body... cotton has no place upon the human form as I define apparel. And pants are to be designed and worn upon the waist, in order to maximize mobility and function!

I again wish you all the best. And truly hope that some of my future releases cater more to your distinguished tastes (your Flickr feed is very well curated, I like your style... hope we can share bottle of whisky sometime, you can find yourself an excellent Old Fashioned here in Vancity!) I fly to Italy first week of July to work on a high-fashion capsule collection alongside the former lead designer from Zegna! Keep your eye's on the historic fashion house and fabric mill D'avenza - and the shelves of Barneys and Nordstroms next spring - for some items more likely suited to your aesthetics... including my take on one possible avenue for the evolution of how we define the suit itself.
...please :D
Is there a full system that includes all the pockets and packets?
Any chance of clarification?
