TOM1L21Tom-I see the comment above about making a stuff sack. I add my down sweater to the pillow inside the stuff sack to make it thick enough for side sleeping.
I spent 19 consecutive nights sleeping on this for my last trip. I mostly side sleep and have to say I had plenty of restful nights, paired with a Static klymit mat. Only problem was if I didn't put a case (i.e. tshirt, fleece) over it for the night, it would slide around too much.
jah00Agree 100%. I've taken mine on at least 15 trips so far and have slept great as a side sleeper by wrapping it up in a shirt/baselayer. I have to admit winter trips aren't as great but I can't figure out if it's something I'm doing that it slides around more so I'm hesitant to blame the pillow. In summer/spring I tend to have my hand tucked underneath it so it doesn't slide around.
i find it too short by itself for side-sleeping (but it is good stacked on top of another pillow), but the divot-shape does hold your head well on a side position too, and keeps some of the pressure off your ear (since an inflatable pillow puts different loads on your body than your conventional stuffed pillow at home...)
dirkhdtI concur. This pillow works, but if you are exclusively a side sleeper, there are probably better options out there that are a bit higher. I don't personally have one, but I hear the Sea to Summit pillows are pretty awesome and they look to be substantially higher than this one.
the pillow is comfortable if you do not inflate it to the maximum, it also makes a lot of noise when you move, but if you put a piece of cloth (shirt, towel, etc.) the sound is more passable
It really depends on the person. I prefer to sleep on my back using this pillow and it's divot as that is more comfortable for me. I do side sleep with it some, but I end up using the elevated side portion of the pillow and letting my face hang off (away from the center of the pillow) in order to have some level of comfort.

I do find this ok for side sleeping as I am one. The divot prevents your head from sliding over the material and off the pillow. I do recommend some kind of slip over it. I have a “goose feet gear” slip with some down on one side. Very light very comfy.
I did not find it comfortable at any position, very slippery on the sleeping pad or bag and slides out from under the head. It would be better if it had some non slip coating or fabric. I use it to sit on.
This pillow is a bit noisy when moving around and when placed directly onto tent floor and in contact with your head. I find that if I wrap it in a shirt, it is much more comfortable to use, but makes the sliding around issue worse.
It Depends. I prefer having a dedicated pillow, and this one is comfortable, lightweight, and does exactly what I want it to do.
If you want to save 55 grams (1.9 ounces), and don't mind either sleeping without a pillow or using something else as a makeshift pillow, then you're better off without one.
My pillow has develop a leak in the seam around the nozzle. It is not a hole from a punchure Dose the life time warranty cover this? How do I get a new one under warranty?
