Received today. As it seemed, it's a great package for $60 US.
Lots of bass - clearly not decaying very fast, makes for a sub-woofer effect, which is fun. Still has clear vocals and 'sufficient' treble. Not a lot of listening done, but this reminds me very much of a budget IEM I have enjoyed, the TFZ 1s - of course, the extra $20 gets you better ergonomics and isolation, especially with less (or no) wind noise, two cables included besides the option to use others, and a case. Deal!
Its not flawless (considering the price, of course) - in fact, two negatives, though oddly enough one leads to a fix of the other.
The first is the tip selection, combined with a very thin nozzle. This was an issue with the HEM series too, of course. Most IEMs don't use nozzles this thin (Shure and Westone aside), meaning many other kinds of tips won't immediately work with the EDCs.
The second is a QC issue, where one tips core was too tight, and when removing it with a twist motion the flange of the tip pulled off.
The thing is, though, I was going to do that anyway - ideally with the small tips I could never use, but the mediums wouldn't stay sealed in my ears anyway. Because, the cores with some trimming make for simple adaptors to use with other kinds of tips.
( @CEE_TEE - is it worth including some kind of adaptor in future runs? Literally just a cylinder that fits on the nozzle)
Though it's tiny, it manages to power even high ohm headsets with amazing accuracy. It works great with the drop usb-c to usb-c and my Phillips shp-9600. Soon enough I'll be using the Akoustyx...
I have an external amplifier with no integrated DAC and I only have an xduo xa10 as a dac/amp can I use the xduo xa10 as a dac only with an external amplifier?
So I bought the HD6xx a few weeks back and when I finally got the packages i got some Noir 99. ever happened to any of u guys and how did it get resolved
