DeathByCarrotsYou're going to be disappointed by a lot of sets in the future then, since custom colorways from GMK or SP are never going to be shine through.

DeathByCarrotsLED shine through cheapens the look of any set. The colours are half of the appeal of GMK, you don't want LEDs ruining that. They'll still seep through the gaps between if you're determined to have them on, which in my opinion looks far and away better than legend shine-through every could.

VigrithI'm still *very* new to the mechanical keyboard world. I have a CoolerMaster MK750 (Cherry Brown) that I've really enjoyed using thus far and am learning about all of the terminology and vast world of custom keycaps that, quite frankly, I didn't know existed until recently! Perhaps this set is a chance for me to learn to appreciate what's out there?

DeathByCarrotsAh, well welcome to the wonderful world of mechanical keyboards! GMK Cherry profile keycaps and Signature Plastics SA profile keycaps are some of the more sought after customs out there. They are quality doubleshot ABS keycaps of custom colorways as devised by people who have a better eyes for interesting color schemes. Here on Massdrop, there are pretty consistent drops for new colorways as there are many out in the wild that are still in the works by various individuals.
Thankfully you picked up a keyboard that has an US ANSI standard layout (1.25u bottom row modifiers and 6.25u spacebar) so you can use just about any keycap set you find.
You may want to check out the /r/mechanicalkeyboards subreddit and see what all is out there while you're at it.

DeathByCarrotsGenerally speaking, strong LEDs steal the show from the beautiful keycaps - it's all personal preference of course, some people may prefer the chaotic look of shine through legends but if you're paying $150+ for caps, you generally want to actually be able to see what you paid for rather than just getting blinded by a bunch of light for no real reason.

I have a thick ass brass plate so you can't really see it seeping through between the caps unless it's dark (plus I'm at work so the picture's bad) but you get the idea. If you do use LEDs, you generally want it to compliment the caps rather than obliterate them.

DeathByCarrotsI think if you like this set you should give it a shot. It's compatible with your board and you'll still get some backlighting around the keys and the edges due to the floating key design of your keyboard.
