How hard is this to do with a knife?
1. Slice the fruit in half.
2. Slice the halves in half.
3. Core the quarters by cutting a small 45-degree piece off them.
4. Get the center of the core out with a paring knife or the butt of your big knife, two cuts.
5. Cut the quarters into 8ths or 12ths.
You lose less of the sweet center of an apple, the "apple honey," this way.
