This is really a pain in the butt to configure. If you're thinking you're going to use something like Logitech's software or that you're going to press a record button, do your keys, then save the macro, think again.
The software is a very crufty and not user-friendly amateurish looking .net app. You have to swap a tiny jumper on the back, reset the device, open up an app, load some image file, use the PITA app, save the image, put the jumper back, reset the device again and then see if your macro actually works. If you only need an extra strip of keys for a few common, simple keystrokes that you don't plan to change often, then sure this might work for you. If you want to use this to perform even semi-complicated operations, you're in for a rough ride.

jdestefIf you know what it is you want it programmed to do, and plan to leave it that way, Max Keyboard will program it for you if you ask nicely. That said, when I asked for numbers 1-8, I didn't specify I wanted number row 1-8 (my bad) and they did number pad numbers, so I had to go in and reprogram it after all. I found it quite simple to do, thankfully.
For the assembled ones, perhaps MassDrop could offer pre-programming for an added fee?
