Kind'a cool stuff, and I could almost get myself to spring for it (even at the crazy prices listed)--but then I started watching the video and became violently nauseous and threw up all over my keyboard--and buddy, I hadn't even made it to the half-way point yet!
God save me from one more commercial from yet another millennial duchebag trying to convince me to buy his or her overpriced shit-I-don't-acctually-need product with the same, trite, transparent ad nauseam pitch about how they (yada yada) for years and finally decided to (yada yada) reinvent the wheel on their own, because they just couldn't find a decent (yada yada) so they borrowed money from their mom, and decided to get all Steve Jobs/Steve Wozniak about it by creating their own (yada yada) for the rest of us, which in reality turns out to be a website-only company who's sole purpose is to convince us to buy their version of (yada yada) stuff I already own, and have owned for years (ala Tommy John's underwear, Boll and Branch sheets, Bombas socks, etc, etc..)! Only now it's a bunch of fancy gourmet chefs knives I can take with me when I...go camping?!!!
No wonder all of my camping trips have been such disasters--I've been packing the wrong damn knives all this time! Quick--take my two-hundred and forty-nine bucks and make me a whole person again.

RayFWhile your comment is valid, is it possible that you may have some animosity against millennials that may have manifested itself in your comment? I saw the commercial and all I saw was some guy who was trying to sell some folding chef knives made from quality materials. Aside from the fact that he was bending backwards and kissing his own ass half the time, I thought that this was a novel idea.

My animosity is towards cheesy cliche marketing in general. I'm equally annoyed when I hear 76 year-old Joe Namath hocking Medicare insurance on late night TV. Perhaps the issue at hand is that the millennial generation are now at an age where hocking stuff is how many of them hope to make a living? Trying to influence young people to buy stuff they probably don't need, or in some cases isn't good for them, has never been limited to any particular generation.

OK boomer isn’t hate speech, but it could be used as evidence of age based discrimination or harassment (no, it isn’t an automatic conviction) directed at people over forty (boomers are certainly over forty). You wouldn’t go to jail, you could just be sued. Dismissing your opinions as archaic isn’t harassment, but bullying you for being a boomer is.
And you’re right. The Age Discrimination in Employment Act doesn’t encompass sexuality because it specifically covers age, and the 60’s Civil Rights Act doesn’t specifically mention sexuality (although it’s largely been extended to include it- that is, until the Trump administration went with the whole ‘original intent when it was written’ argument- I wonder if they’ll use the same logic for laws protecting gun ownership, predating most of the weapons we have today?). And it’s a problem, because 28 states have no workplace protections for people based on sexual or gender orientation.
But I like how you bring that up unsolicited, as if to scream
