It would be perfect, but it's cheap so the glass protrudes out and scratches easily. That said I don't wear it to dinner parties or whatever - I'm a student and banged it up quite a bit. I was pleased with the looks but the number of scratches I've accumulated means that soon I'll have to switch watches. Oh well, it was good while it lasted!
alex_wThat is exactly why I only acquire watches with sapphire glass instead of mineral glass-the difference in scratch resistance is striking. The Miro auto/sapphire drop last year is a great example--worn regularly, not a single scratch. Your watch isnt scratched because the glass protrudes, it because its mineral glass material. If you're patient and persistent you can find many economical (not cheap) sapphire glass watches.
