This is nothing but a jazzed up Kato. Look at the specs for the two. They’re exactly the same! You’re literally paying an extra $500 dollars for looks, not sound!

MaverickAHIt is a collectors items. Comes with a lot of bonus things besides the IEM's including a fully balanced modular cable. The tuning is slightly different, it's much more refined and closer to Moondrops VDSF target. Yes they are expensive in terms of sound quality for money but if you wanted single DD sound you wouldn't be looking at these in the first place. They still sound good despite the price. The value is up to you if you care enough about the limited edition collectors items that come with the set.

michabarlevThat is what a collectors item generally is. Limited edition and priced accordingly. It's a slightly refined Kato with a fancy shell, balanced modular cable and cool accessories like the stingray case, art book and wood box.
Tuning is confirmed to be different, it adheres more closely to the VDSF target Moondrop aims for.

Should be made from 24K gold and VVS diamond for me to buy. The platinum coating could come off with all the abuse, and the silver will tarnish.

brainwavePlatinum is more durable then gold, any damage can be buffed out by any jeweler. The hollow silver is only on the fine detailing on the rear with the VS diamonds that are indeed real.
