So, can any of the previous backers confirm that the hinge is indeed metal, or chrommy plastic? I have a cheap flask with a plastic hinge and it looks exactly like the closeup pic.

I just disassembled one and the only part that is plastic is the little bar that connects the flask cap to the body. The hinge piece on the flask, the pin, the cap and the body are all metal.
