Large, durable, interesting, and good for the office
I got the Chicago pattern, and I absolutely love it! It is more than large enough for my workspace. It is slightly thicker than I thought it would be, which gives me a lot of confidence in its durability. The best part: the colors and patterns are super interesting, and it makes it fun to spot a lot of shapes and objects whenever you are waiting on something to load or need a brain break (in the same way you would look think about cloud watching). At work it has gotten compliments and intrigue, but zero judgement or odd questions.
Awesome product with urban land-use style colouring on a cadastral base. Well made with stitched edges for optimal longevity and styling. It has a smooth surface for fine mouse operation, but just don't Drop (pardon the pun) any small screws onto it, or you'll be screwed (finding them :-).
Really enjoy the colors of this mat. For Chicago folks, note that the map cuts off on the north side at Diversey Ave. If you live north of that and was hoping your home is respresented, that's where it ends. Sorry Wrigleyville.
Having left New York this is a great reminder of the city. It looks good and is a talking piece that let's me remember all the places I visited around the city.
