Sorry I'm jumping in too late, but I'd advise caution here...
I funded the Nix Kickstarter and have two of them. They've never worked. At all. The first one they sent me would never sync with any bluetooth device, so they sent me another one. That one would sometimes power on and send a color reading to the app. That color had absolutely no relation to the surface it was on. For example, putting the Nix sensor on white wall and it would tell the app that the color is purple or brown.
After repeated emails to the company for support - which went unanswered - I finally gave up.
Beware, folks...
degleepHi Degleep,
I'm really sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience with a Nix product. I'm not sure what would of happened with your email. This is inexcusable. Can you email me directly at matt@nixsensor.com we also have two phone lines that are covered 9-5 Monday to Friday eastern time from our office here in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. 905-581-6363 and +1.800.649.1387
We have come a long way from our Kickstarter campaign and we'd like to make sure you get one of our completely new products featured in this Massdrop campaign.

nixsensorHow about you folks offer to give me my money back and pay for the time that I've wasted rather than "generously" offering to go through the same process again?
At this point, I'd settle for just getting my money back and write off the time wasted as educational.
degleepNot all Kickstarters are successful but I do think your commentary. I was skeptical about it and never would get it. This post ensures that I won't.
