@sdecker don't worry about the color of the natural CXL out of the box. It will darken and change a *lot* over time. I've owned a pair of Oak Street's natural trench boots for about a year, and they're now closer to a deep golden brown. A big selling point of natural leather is that it develops character (and color) over time.

sdeckerI took a photo of them a couple months ago, walking around on Worthington Glacier near Valdez. They're covered in glacial till so they actually look much lighter here than they do when they're clean. How they look in a year will depend on what you do with them and what leather care products you use on them. The only thing that's certain is that they will darken a lot and look nothing like new in a few months.
