For that price, this should be wood and brass.
Also, apropos of nothing, here's my pen storage :D
Upper right is the Lanier case, left is a Levenger (both from Massdrop) and the big one is a toolchest.

katerchenI have that same toolbox. Where did you get your drawer liners?

DataIt's very low tech. I cut some cardboard to size, scored them at 10mm intervals (in retrospect it should have been a bit more) and then folded it up like an accordion.

DataYou can buy the pen drawer liners like at a online jewelry supplier. They come in various size sheets you can cut to fit. I can't remember where I purchased mine or I would include it here - sorry.

seahunterSo it's true, then?!!--"Pen collecting contributes to early memory loss in adult males, aged 90 years and less" I'd read that statistic once before but didn't believe it!We'd all better quit now while we can still remember why!

seahunterOoo, I knew I had this bookmarked somewhere:
https://www.gopens.com/Vintage_Pen_Parts/vintage_pens_12X16Trays.php
NB: I did *not* buy from them in favor of making mine on the cheap, just saved the link when I saw it on FPN. According to everyone in the conversation, despite the circa 1995 page design, they are legit.

katerchenYes, I have purchased the trays from this site! I intend to make some cigar box pen holders with them, but just haven't had the time yet.
