Those ear pads look pretty skinny to me. Can someone who owns these confirm my suspicion?

They are by far the most comfortable and durable headphones I've owned (including the cloth pads that have gone through years of wear and tear now). Ath-M50, HD598, HD58x, HD6xx and Philips SP1900 don't come close to these in terms of comfort so I don't think you need to worry about the earpads.

Anyone know what the bass is like on these? Ive heard that these headphones lack bass and I plan to listen to edm and play games with these.

I tend to like the sound of Sennheiser 500-series headphones, as well as Audio-Technica models like the ATH-M40. Realizing that "sound characteristics" can be pretty subjective, anyone who own these willing to take a stab at describing it ? Esp. if your familiar with the Sennheisers or the Audio-Technicas ?

I own ATH M40.. the thing is i will pick the SPH more often then ATH in my daily use.. these comfy .. and more sound space .. it open back.. hook up with onkyo receiver and topping d50s.. make me happy all day..
