OneLoveDenon AVR? Which one would you recommend? Pioneer has a sound field processor to adjust your surround sound to adapt to the acoustics of your room. Does Denon offer anything similar?

LCaseyKLooked and saw Denon offers Audessey (sp?), but I see mixed reviews in comparing it to Pioneer. Also Denon uses Class A/B amps versus Pioneer's use of Class D, which provide better power for piggish speakers.
You did make me look harder and there are other competitive AVRs out there, Yamaha, Sony, Marantz, so it really makes it impossible to compare without hearing, though I am otherwise happy with my current Pioneer, and I've had Yamaha and Sony in the past, the differences become a preference.
Hoping that a higher end Pioneer AVR becomes a drop.

OneLoveThanks, This is comparable to this Pioneer on offer, but I'd have to go with a higher powered amp due to my speakers.

jzen0I've seen that review, and it just makes it harder to decide. I have a Pioneer now, but have always admired Denon, though both brands are now part of conglomerates. Onkyo's ownership of Pioneer doesn't seem to have hurt it, though Denon being owned by the owners of Polk, Marantz and Boston Acoustics seems to bode well for it longer term.

LCaseyKFunny enough I just upgraded from my panasonic plasma and a pioneer receiver that was about 8-9 years old to an LG OLED and a Denon. I'm enjoying it.
