Looks good, feels good
I really like the feel and look of the leather, as it's nice and thick, and supple. Great spot for my keys on top of my dresser.

soft and floppy "tray"
Like: it's soft and floppy, came pre-scratched so I use it for my keys and treat it rough. Dislike: not much of a tray

Many deep marking on leather
Mine has a couple of deep markings which according to a "leather dictionary" these seem to be warts.
I don't know why I assumed the underside was also tanned-it is raw leather. Pictures don't show that the underside is not tanned.
