Has anyone tried this, or even touched it in a shop? I am interested, but wonder what this feels like.

brenda52411I have used this batting a number of times. It is a fairly dense batting and holds up well to washing. I appreciate the "green" aspect of recycling plastic bottles. Better in a quilt than in the ocean! I made a quilt using this batting for my grand kids and my daughter says that it washes very well. It is also warm. Hope this helps, Brenda.

grammygayI also appreciate the "green" aspect. Does this batting need to be prewashed before it's used? How thick is it? Thank you, Brenda

brenda52411I feel like it is fairly thick. Since it is polyester there's no need to prewash. It doesn't shrink. It doesn't require dense quilting. It's thick enough to remain stable. It's more stable than a 100% cotton batting of the same thickness. This is an opinion, not really a FACT. Hope that helps.
