Like Rama, like the design, but there is $12 of materials here and about $8 of machining/finishing. The price of a fullsize keeb this should not be.

VigrithWhat do you want backed up? If you want these manufactured let me know. If you want me to do your boards in eagle let me know. If you want me to show you how to use OSH park and then send them off to be run in China let me know. What do you want "backed up". You need me to do a nice case in Solidworks? Need to send it to be anodized? If you want anything you see here done let me know. The shit is simple - basic - and very overpriced - which is my point. Love it or hate it.

P1MPBOT5000I want you to go design something similar but not identical, have it produced in similar fashion and with the same/higher quality materials for $20 and then ship it to me. I'm giving you leniency because you should also have it branded by someone who's in the same or higher standard as Rama within the community or hobby seeing as people are obviously partially paying for brand here (happens all the time).
I don't think a scientist would ever pass off such crass blanket statements so please don't take my scepticism personally. Your field of work is also completely irrelevant so long as you have no actual evidence to move forward.
PS: To specify, when I say I want you to design something similar I mean all of it - come up with a hot swappable PCB of your own (or pay someone to) as well as sort out the entirety of the case.

Where can I get aluminum blocks, printed PCB, SMT components, Kaihua sockets, LEDs, and switches for $12? Where is this machine shop that can do the milling and anodizing for only $8? There are many projects I myself could start since you make it sound so easy!
