So..... how do I get the clip off so I can replace it with my fancy purple washer? There's nothing to grab with a tool so I don't know if I should start forcing things. EDIT: After reading the thread below, I think I should clarify ... the flashlight has a titanium body, a switch assembly, a brass insert threaded on both ends, a clip, and a titanium tailcap & button, in that order, and when I removed the tailcap, the brass insert+clip+tailcap came out together and I found it nearly impossible to separate. It seems like the insert is supposed to stay in the body and then the clip+tailcap comes off. In any case it can all come apart with some pliers and protective rubber or cloth and lots of force.

awkI can't remove mine either. If it's actually threaded someone over tightened it. I personally consider it permanent at this point. Which is a bit of a shame. I won't carry a flashlight with a clip... Which makes this a waste of money.

biggman15I was able to get it off. @Fourday is correct, the piece is threaded. But it's screwed in REALLY tight. I was able to get it out by lining it with a piece of rubber and grabbing it from the inside with expanding pliers. I didn't want to damage the threads by accident. The funny thing is, there are notches cut on the TOP side of the insert that's screwed into the titanium, which serves no purpose. I guess that was a manufacturing error. If they were on the bottom side it would've been obvious that you can use pliers or spanner to unscrew it. Whatever the case, I got the clip off and replaced it with the washer.

awkAdd paper or cloth between the clip and flashlight body to prevent any scratch, then twist the tailcap.

ReyLightI did that, but the threaded tube came off in the tailcap, with the clip trapped between, and it was very difficult to get out. I was able to separate them with some force.
