Whenever people talk about tearing down tons of boxes, I always recommend a box cutter over a knife. It's easier to use, you can buy spare blades instead of having to resharpen, and since you should be cutting tape not side walls you won't have to deal with annoying tape residue all over your lovely edge. Plus the blades are dirt cheap so when you take into account resharpening time it's literally cheaper to buy them and throw them away. Plus a boxer cutter just isn't as scary looking as most modern knives, it's a tool and most people can recognize that without wondering why you have it. I'm happy to say that Rike has proven me wrong by producing a utility knife that is overpriced, looks potentially dangerous to hold, uses expensive blade replacement and would inspire terror in the hearts of those who've developed PTSD from having to watch any transformer movie.
