KavikIt is completely wrong to fail to disclose these are seconds or refurbished. There might actually be laws against it but I don't know--otherwise many websites/stores would simply "forget" to place this in the item description.

Kavikmassdrop has been pretty good regarding labeling things as factory reconditioned or b-stock. They don't sell very many items that are refurbished or seconds, but when I have bought things like a takamine guitar b-stock through massdrop, it was clearly stated in the title and description and bullet point description. I think these are new stock otherwise I would not have joined both recent rike drops, but if there is any foul play, I would be more suspicious of the vendor (ie a distributor rather than the actual rike knife company) failing to disclose to massdrop the status of the items being distributed.

lobsterYeah, it could easily be on the manufacturer as well. But regardless of where the issue is originating (if it is in fact an issue, and not just poor qc), it's MD who needs to provide an answer to us as the seller
It's just weird though that Rike knives on here seem to be the only ones where i keep seeing people question this (poorly ground detent holes questioned as factory seconds, people talking about scratched blades, scuffed handles, etc.)
The only Rike drop I've joined so far was for the hummingbird, and i got 3 perfect knives (aside from one slight overgrind on one of the blades, which can happen anywhere from any brand from time to time)

It's been hinted at and asked so many times here, are these Rike drops factory seconds and/or returns?
Nothing wrong with selling those, if the discount is worthwhile....but people need to know before they buy it that's the case
