Here's a short list of controls for lighting that I figured out the hard way. (Typing this on the Royal Kludge RG-987 btw :D)
FN+PrtSc = Makes keyboard a solid color FN+Ins = Changes color, after reaching red the second time it will cycle between colors automatically FN+Home = Cycles the lights on and off slowly FN+PgUp/PgDn = Raise and lower brightness FN+ScrLk = Scrolling rainbow FN+Pause = Pauses the scrolling rainbow in place FN + Up Arrow/Down Arrow = Speeds up or slows down transitions and scrolling FN+ Left/Right Arrow = Changes direction of scrolling FN+End = Turns off lights FN+Del = Turns on lights
It has a few other functions, for example: FN+w locks all keys except for WASD FN+F12 locks all keys FN+Windows Key makes it so the windows key doesn't actually do anything The other function keys (F1 thought F8) are pretty self explanatory.

AmenableMeI purchased the 987 with white keycaps and red switches and I noticed that the FN+W actually doesn't

stop you from using other keys rather it turns the WSAD into arrow keys and lets you press all the other keys still (so if you had a game hard coded with arrow keys you wouldn't have to remap keys ). That's a really cool feature. Also I've noticed theta the red keys are really light versus blue or toper switches (so don't be afraid to get the black version of the board if you think you might need it) Also here a link to a video of the board and the lighting modes in action
It's really great value for the price but I'll probably post mine for sale in a few days because I still prefer my Novatouch TKL (but it doesn't have back-lighting :/ )
