OK, so I know hardcore denim people exist and have strong opinions about raw denim, so can someone who self-identifies as one of those people tell me if these are any good? I know $100 is a pretty good price for quality raw denim jeans.
aquaknoxFor the price, these are very good. Compare to say, APC, which is made in China out of Chinese denim for around $185. APC is a popular suggestion for a first pair of raw denim, so for around half the price you're getting a lot more.
Also, these aren't super stiff and are fairly medium-weight, so they make a very good first pair because the break-in period is virtually nonexistent. I've converted a few people in the office to raw denim with these ones (the guy who's in the photos has been wearing that pair ever since).
aquaknoxThese are really nice. I own 5 pairs of raws now, and these are probably my favorite. I own one pair of this fabric in the Slim Straight fit, and I own a pair of their double indigo in the New Classic fit. I think they're great.
