SanzharWhy orange? I know Doxa made it iconic, but black or deep blue is the best face colour for a diver if the lume is white or light blue (which this one is). If Seiko was still using a green lume, then yeah, orange would be best. That of course assumes you'll actually use it as a diver...if you're just desk diving, carry-on.
RayFOpen water and some wreck diving. I am looking to get my ice diving certification as I live in Canada most of the year. I am not ballsy (or crazy) enough for cave diving.

unhappymealI think (just my opinion of course) if we are talking about functionality, probably the 3rd Gen monsters are the best as they use the 6R15 movement and case (bezel) is the same as 2nd gen so they are nice, I sold all of mine sadly but it’s a great watch to have. This 4th gen iones I just don’t dig as much but I’m sure it’s a good watch.
Hewitt29Agreed. I would go with a 3rd gen orange Monster all day. It has the better movement, the lume is green, which provides great contrast on an orange face and the case is attractive. At the end of the day, the Monster is a triumph of function over form, so it strikes me as odd to pine for an orange 4th generation one when the lume colour is now blue.
unhappymealIt's because I really wanted 2nd gen orange Monster as the one Hewitt29 posted above and I don't do diving. Now that I have done a little Google-fu I would prefer coral Monster in 4th generation. So SBDC067 please, Massdrop!

SanzharI had the Blue Coral and it’s Amazing dial and watch ! Highly recommended, I sold mine for 400 though as I just had too many watches. Might buy it again in the future.
RayFIt's horological heresy, but I rely more on my dive computer and use a cheap Casio G-Shock as my back-up... I don't think I am ever going to dive deep enough to require a Marinemaster.
CdoyleLooking at this one, I can certainly understand your question! Best thing to do is go back to the beginning, with the Gen 1 and Gen 2 versions. Lotta good information online and good videos on YouTube to catch up on the history of monsters.
