I'm curious why it's being shown with the clear cover taken off. Aside from when you change the battery, is there any reason for it to be used without the cover? None of the features listed imply that that's a thing.

Why is this selling today, in stock, on Amazon for $35.99 plus a 10% off coupon, and 1 day shipping and the one I ordered from Drop is twice the price and not due to ship for 5 weeks?
