Has some manufacturing defects
The top plate had countersunk holes that were punched through and had protrusions on the exit side. This meant that it was not able to lay flat on the stem. I had to use a hammer to knock those protrusions flat leading to some paint chips

Great
I need ones that could stand on my desk and reach over my monitors, these worked perfectly.

I love my set. Thanks Drop!
Setup was simple and didn't take long to assemble. Once assembled, I threw my speakers on them and started jamming out around noon all the way to midnight. I love all the positioning options with these. I also have a set of wooden speaker stands. They look good but can't adjust them. Can only add pads to position a speaker. Like I said in the title, I

Poorly made
The plate on which the speakers rest has 4 countersunk holes. These hole are punched, not machined, and as such protrude below the bottom surface of the plate and do not sit flush to the bracket to which it attaches. This causes the plate to wobble no mater how tight the mounting screws are tightened. Unless you have the resources to correct this (I do) these are a waste of money. If manufactured correctly, these would be a 5-star item.

docadamI have the same problem with 1 of the 2 stands. Planning to make a return request due to defective/poor manufacturing. Would you mind sharing how you corrected the problem? I've noticed that the wobble is due to the adjustable plate on the post being slightly rounded. If I were to do a workaround, I'd attach something like the no-skid pads that were included. Appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks.

docadamI had the same problem with one of the plates so I took a hammer to it. Flipped the plate and laid on top of a flat surface and hammered away. That seemed to work well enough though the paint got scratched so it may potentially be a rust spot in the future.

Pretty janky, but materials are fine.
Not related to the product itself, but had to pay Fedex 29$ more(atop the 38$ for shipping) because "the item was heavy". Had no control over what delivery service Drop would use, and wouldn't have had to pay that if they used local mail. Stands themselves are pretty janky. the tilt up and down adjustment has like 2% give if you push the back or front. If you push a little hard, even if you screwed the adjustment shut, it gives pretty easily, so don't touch them after setting up. Both have a lot of left right travel on the plate the speakers stand on. Threading on one of the screws was horrendous, barely got it to fit flush against the arm. Materials are fine, sturdy metal construction. Feet are 4 sorbothane pegs, and there are two foams strips for the speaker itself to sit on. Very heavy too. One positive thing is they got a lot of horizontal adjustment, as seen in the picture.

EmbedeadCould you do a rough measurement of the top plate dimensions? And if you can also confirm the bottom plate is according to the specs at 10" x 4". Some of the similar (Gator Frameworks) stands have a 10"x10" base plate.

cheese528Top plate is 30 cm x 23 cm, so about 11.8 by 9 inches. Bottom plate is the same, on the sides that flare out. So 11.8 by 9.
