Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

For right now, I'll just stick with my senns or ATs. They deliver good bass response, yet still handle the highs (decent v curve), and only sound better when throwing some power at them. These PL50s are gonna just sit at the bottom of my closet.
i mostly like these for in bed non-critical listening and audio books, (you forget they are in they just vanish) i have my hf5's and several other sets that are higher end...but not as comfortable, sure these arent bass head friendly, and arent a common sound sig, , would suggest looking at jokers headphone list before you order from now on..it covers the weaknesses and strengths of hundreds of iem's and it covers these not being great for people who love/need their bass.
there are much better options if you need bass..gr06 gr04, gr07 from vsonic would be options for example.....among others.... but vsonic come with a huge tip selection and tend to be great bang for the buck....hell i want to get a set of gr07's(prob bass edition) mostly because they are one of the only dynamic iem's that are considered high enough quality to use for mastering work, and that interests me...im into detail for music, and even my last few higher end dynamics lacked the detail of my hf5's, hell..one set, that runs over 200bucks, had less detail then the pl50's in its mids..they where more muddy, but the highs where nice and sybliant/harsh, and the lows where nice and brain rattling...ROFL.....wtf man....glad my buddy just lent them to me trying to get me to trade him something for them....LOL )
i was never disapointed with these because the first time i got them, and this time, i knew exactly what to expect, and, nope they arent perfect, but...at 30bucks.....good luck finding something subjectivly better...
only suggestion i could give for cheap with good detail and the ability to thump is the Brainwavz Jive dynamic tuned to sound like a ba, eq the bass up and you may be alot happier then with these...they arent as comfortable though...
