Once you put something like this on a camera, you lose the ability to quickly mount it on a tripod, correct? Seems like it's good if you don't mount a heavy lens or any other heavy accessories and will go handheld 100% of the time.

JJtoob"BUT WHAT ABOUT MY TRIPOD PLATE?
You can connect your tripod plate right on top of the Spider Pro plate. If you’re using Arca-Swiss products, please check out our Arca-Swiss Clamp and Adapter."

JJtoobNo, the spider plate on the bottom of my camera allows mounting of any tripod plate. I absolutely love mine!

LumecubeAwesome! Should be added on the description. I didn't realize there's a picture showing the camera with a tripod plate. At first I thought it was part of the grip and wouldn't let you mount your own plate.

JJtoob@JJtoob and @Lumecube,
Good point! The fact that a tripod plate can easily mount to the Spider plate has been added to the description. Thanks for asking a great question and participating in the disscussion.
Cheers!
