Awful value. Literally double the price of a comparable SSD on Amazon, Newegg, eBay, or even at Walmart or Best Buy. What the f*** Massdrop? Seriously considering leaving the site for a while. The only worthwhile options that ever pop up are some of the audio drops. Everything tech related is way too expensive.

YoshmaistaYeah, their tech deals suck. I thought I got a good deal on an adata 512GB nvme ssd one time, because it was 20 dollars more on Amazon. Then after I ordered it, Amazon price went down to the same price as massdrop, and it would've arrived sooner than the massdrop one was. Every other tech drop I've checked out comments all seem to be the same, better deals on major online retailers, with quicker shipping than MD

YoshmaistaTo be fair to the vendor, Super Talent supplies almost exclusively the Enterprise sector. Also, the model numbers line up with an MLC SSD, not a TLC as is in the product description. If the post here on Massdrop is incorrect, that would also help explain the higher price.

FenixreignEven if true, you can get MLC drives for 2/3 of this price. This price is honestly one of the worst I've seen in 6 months on an SSD. A year ago this would've been a mediocre price. Now? Eh... And given the date this drive arrives, I'm trying to figure out what is costing the extra money here (or on other tech drops), because it's sure as hell not stocking shipping or logistics.
YoshmaistaThis Super Talent SSD DURADRIVE AT7 2.5" is made with an MLC Flash which is a higher quality Flash that increases the Read/Write Speeds. The SSD with lower prices that are being promoted in other websites are made with TLC which is a lower cost of Flash.

Super TalentWhy make such a slow MLC drive then? 300mbps write is insanely slow for MLC; hell it's slow for most TLC and even some QLC variants. I get that MLC is more expensive, but with that price comes performance bumping up against SATA III speed limits usually, not a write speed achievable by a high end SATA II drive.
