Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. If you just want to use it as DAP, go for DR100 MK2, it can be bought for around or less than $199 recently. DR100 MK2 has great PO and LO. I will say it is the king (and the only useable one as DAP) in Tascam product line except for the recently released models that I have not played with. But for DR100 MK2, the PO is very warm, LO is better but still a little warm. I don't think it fits everyone. While looking for DAP, please stay away from Zoom.

Note that in the last video, there is slight clipping on the Tascam test recording using the external microphone. This is because the Tascam was being used as a preamp feeding into a digital camera. The on-board recording using the external mic (on the same video) does not exhibit clipping.
