Listing indicates this is either linear or tactile switches, but no option to select either option. Which switches come with this keypad?

Hello! The Black colorway will ship with tactile TECSEE Pudding Switches, and the Purple colorway will ship with linear TECSEE Pudding Switches.

If this is plugged into USB-C does it leave the battery in the loop continuously (so that it will degrade) or does it get disconnected?

When the USB-C is plugged into the Keypad, it will leave the battery on/in a continuous loop. It is recommended to unplug the USB-C after use.
