I recently got this headset, and wow is it good. My only issue is when certain people talk on discord, I can hear a really high pitched ringing. I fiddled with a bunch of settings, computer audio and discord, and nothing seems to solve the issue. It is primarily if not all in my right ear only. Is there something wrong with my headset, or was that ringing always there I can just hear it cause the headset is THAT good? I haven't had any issues with any other application, though I have yet to test if I can hear the ringing on a different version of discord, say on my xbox instead of my pc. Only other issue I've had is occasional static, but I can't tell if it's from the headset or the show/game/etc.

Cosmetically, they're tfz's best so far. If unboxing is your thing, these are a step above previous tfz. More impressions on Tuesday or Wednesday when I have had some real time with them.
My initial impressions: soundstage and imaging are excellent. You get a real sense of the space and placement of instruments. There is a very high level of detail and this is the first pair of headphones I've had where I can confidently tell a difference between my 320kbps mp3s and flac files because the imaging/naturalness isn't quite the same on the compressed files.
The bass is deep and abundant, but not overwhelming. It is very snappy. These almost sound planar-like to me in a few ways. There is an elevation in the mids that really brings out detail. Treble is fine but doesn't quite have the"sparkle" that some people want. Upper mids and deep bass define these for me.
They are easier to drive than I expected so any amp/DAC/dap will do and a phone will probably yield decent volume. Build is very good but they are a little large. White ear tips are a bad choice and mine are already a bit dirty after only a little use. I do think the provided foam tips are better quality foam than previous tfz products but there is only one pair included, and White is a bad idea.
These are a step up from anything I own (oppo pm3, blue Lola, tfz E5, so on and so forth). The placement, detail, naturalness and separation of instruments is excellent. I'm a basshead, and the bass is more than adequate, especially with EQ or bass boost on an amp (I even EQ up my s5, so that's not a knock against these). They are more laid back and not fatiguing like other tfz's I've tried.
I think this is as good as single driver gets.... In some ways I'd like to see what they can do with a 3-4 driver setup, in other ways I like that they stick with what they know....
Technology is really great... Good time to be alive right now with headphones, I believe we're in a golden era.
One other note, the little wire clamp that you can cinch up under your chin on these is pointless. It matches the unit well and looks nice but falls down on its own.
Otherwise I'm fully burned in and enjoying these. More mellow and detailed than the E5 with great staging/imaging. I listened to my stereo at home over the weekend and i couldn't wait to put these back in. Don't get me wrong, the imaging/staging of a headphone will never be right (has as much to do with recording as the headphones) or able to match a very good speaker in a good room, or hit your whole body with the same impact, but these are great. Very pleased so far.
Binaural tracks are almost pointless on these, since basically it all sounds binaural....
