Totally missing the use case here except for "impress my friends" (who are secretly jealous that you can spend so much money on something so useless).

bookworm13I imagined a lot of use for it akin to a push knife, for carving and the like. My first thought when seeing it was hey that would make a bomb proof small fixed blade. It also is much friendlier with my states carry laws given its lack of length.
I am also a huge design nerd though and the unique and interesting factors were definitely at play, still I see it as a functional piece in its own right.
