SchuylerTo me, any Tracker knife is a hard pass automatically, but yeah, that dollar off sale price made me laugh. But then again, this model is dual purpose. It's a prybar with an edge that also has a lanyard hole, so you can tie it off and use it as a boat anchor.

bobtheaxolotlI won't deny that these make a terrible knife for normal knife things, if you need a hatchet these are surprisingly effective... Not as effective as an actual hatchet but still surprisingly effective for a piece of 1/4" thick steel.

SchuylerAny larger chopper with a decent high flat grind will perform better than the Tracker in a hatchet role, and will have the added benefit of also being able to cut things as normal knives do. The Tracker really is the worst of both worlds. It's a movie knife, and it works best looking cool on screen. Not so much with the actual using it in the real world thing.
