I bought two of these and use them on a 37" Ultrawide and 31" 16:9 monitor. The arms and springs are sturdy enough to hold both monitors. They're even tall enough to rotate the 37" Ultrawide vertically (it's completely impractical to use the monitor that way, but I had to try.)
It was tricky adjusting the nuts on the joints in order to allow the arms to move freely. They're extremely tight from the factory. They also didn't use the same allen key sizes on all parts and across both of the arms I had. I didn't have a full allen set to deal with it.
For monitors this large and heavy, the only real issue is the tilt & swivel joint at the mount point. I had to tighten the nut extremely tight in order to keep the monitors from tilting forward. It's very difficult to do this without an electric drill, and it's hard to judge how tight you need it to be. You cannot adjust the rotation (vertical) joint without disassembling the tilt joint.
Tilting and rotating monitors this large on these arms is impractical, but I hardly ever do it. Positioning them vertically and horizontally is simple once they're adjusted properly. Worth it to reclaim my desk space back from the huge monitor stands these monitors need otherwise.
The quick-mount brackets were convenient. I recommend having someone to help mount it if you have very heavy monitors, though.
MarloneditsThe 37" has been on the arm for more than a year now, I think. I move the thing around quite a bit and it's totally fine. There doesn't seem to be any change. Monitors stay exactly where I put them. I have also put some WD40 on the joints to make moving the monitors easier,
I have now used this with two different monitors and it needed very little adjustment when switching from one to the other, works great in our space and there is plenty of room to contain two HDMI and the power cables.
Holds up a 34" ultrawide no problem, I would rate it 5 but it does slowly tilt forward over time - the tilt joint just needs a lock nut for heavier monitors
John__wI put the LG 34UM88C on it, also about 18 pounds. The reason I bought this unit over ones on amazon was the extra weight capacity of the base and gas-spring.
The arm itself handles the weight no problem. It maintains height perfectly.
You do have to keep the tilt joint secured very tight though to stop it from tilting down and I probably wouldn't want to put any more heavy of a monitor on the stand for that reason.
I own two of these arms, one for each of my monitors because I didn't buy them at the same time and didn't want to have to get rid of my single for a double. Anyway, these have served me well for over two years. I especially love the VESA mount and how it slides onto a notch on the arm itself instead of the VESA mount being permanently attached to the arm. This makes it super easy to take down my monitors without messing with the entire arm itself. This is something I haven't seen in any other arm I've looked at over the years. The full articulation of these arms is fantastic. I am very happy with this purchase.
My monitor is 32" and weighs 17.2 lbs (Pixio PXC32). The arm is is nice and holds up the monitor just fine, however, it does not clamp hard enough to stop it from tilting without some modification.
After two years of having this, I can't say enough good about it. Built strong, great adjustment capability, and generally built to take a beating. No loosening or other issues since I bought it.
Been using this for a few years now and it's never shifted after I have set it and it's quick to reposition if needed and the cable routing made for a clean install
I have an extremely limited amount of space and this monitor arm enabled me to upgrade from a 24" 1080p monitor to my 27" 1440p, thanks to its precise adjustments and orientation. The other huge added benefit is that I now also have more space on the desk itself.
I consider this an absolute win!
