A brief reflection and look at how far our community has come since joining. I’ve been in the mechanical keyboard hobby for a very long time. It started as a high school student’s search for a keyboard for writing novels back in the 2008-2009 school year. I thought I wanted to be an author and I felt I needed a keyboard that I could sit down to at my desk and just write. After researching, joining forums, and saving money, I made my first purchase in the hobby, a blank black Happy Hacking Keyboard Professional 2. I still own this keyboard and while it is heavily modded now, it remains one of my all-time favorites. I'm wondering whether 65g might be too light, or if, on the other hand, 65g is more comfortable for long typing.
With that said... My preferred switch by miles. I don't have the most experience ever, but clears "were" ideal for me if generic MX switches. Got Zealios on my whitefox, and I just can't give it up. I went for the M60-A, and was all set to jump into "cheaper zealios" switches with the box Royals in the starter kit. Needless to say, canceled the Royals and ordered Zilents. Sad wallet.
Although, my endgame board is ordered. M60-A with 78g Zilents, and Pulse keycaps. I just have to ignore the price.
