I just received this bottle. I got an included letter saying the adhesive used for the rubber bottom did not completely dry out, so there is a strong smell. However, it concerns me that the smell is present inside the bottle.
What concerns me even more is that the rubber bottom is loose. The adhesive is very weak and did not end up attaching the rubber bottom to the bottle. Very disappointed in the product. The smell just adds insult to injury. They could've dried the adhesive longer to cure out the smell and actually keep it attached.

davidlyThe one I got has this same issue. The smell is fading away after leaving hot water in there with no lid all night but the bottom rubber pulls off very easy.

THEPMine still smells pretty bad with the lid off. But the bottom rubber needs a DIY. It's peeling off after a few trips around town already.
