Got this for my 10 year old brother for Christmas. Had to introduce him to the mechanical keyboard world young!! All of his friends see his keyboard and have begged their parents for something similar lol. Good quality and value for the price.
For the price, it's a great little 65%-ish keyboard with fun effects and the sound of stacked acrylic vs. an aluminum case with space inside. I personally have discovered that I prefer a higher profile and having a plate with the cutouts for switches to be more secure, but for people who like lighting effects and are still figuring out what kind of switches and keycaps they like, with the exception of the odd-sized right shift which is an eternal problem with these smaller boards with the arrow cluster, this is a really great neutral setup for testing things out and types decently well with a little work as well.
Edited to specify that the right shift is 2U, which is particularly uncommon. A lot more sets include a 1.75U option. You can use other 2U keys, like the 0 from a numpad, but depending on the profile it might not be quite right. Would recommend sticking to a uniform profile like DSA if you change out the keycaps.
Yeah, the Astrolokeys will fit. One thing to note, though, is that the Astrolokeys Windows/System key is 1.25u and it looks like this keyboard has a 1u Windows/System key and 1u function key. In theory, this should not a problem (however personal preference may dictate otherwise) because the base kit of Astrolokeys has enough 1u keycaps left over to cover this 66 board (eg. insert, pgup, pgdn) with keycaps to spare for use on the system and function switches. Since the DSA profile is flat sculpt you can move the keys freely without worrying about the sculpt profile of the board.
Just got the notification that this product is now delayed....anyone know why (other than COVID obviously)? Don't wanna cancel my order but I also don't wanna wait 30 days to get my keyboard.
chandlerbeersI got this as a gift and now its delayed with no info from Drop. This is my first transaction with Drop so this is my first impression. I understand COVID19 is delaying things from happening but being left in the dark is not a good look.
Gotta keep in mind these Womier keyboards are imported from China so you can't be too upset. COVID-19 is messing everything up. A month delay is not feasible, but often happens in Drops.
I don't know much about either board, but I check kprepublic pretty regularly just to see whats new (they post new things every couple of days). Most things I'm not interested in, but some are cool.
I will message Kprepublic if the womier 66 is programmable (they usually respond in 24-48 hours) and I'll update this comment when I hear back. :)
Edit: apparently I asked them back in October when they 1st posted it on their site. Lol.
The womier 66 is *NOT* programmable.
PoblopuabloActually yes but no u can flash qmk onto it not sure about the difficulty of doing that though. and keep in mind theres the cox 66 and theres wormier k66 cox is high profile and wormier is low profile
For anyone having concerns about the order, I just got an email from their Customer Support Team and they said that almost all Drop orders are delayed due to COVID-19 and that there are restrictions put in place in certain areas. They don't have an expected ship date as of today. Hope this helped somebody :)
Hello everyone. There's a discord channel dedicated to the Womier k66 and it's high profile version, the yc66. Join if you're interested in more information about these keyboards.

Sorry for the late reply. No TKL versions available. There is a high profile version available, but it's not TKL. But the k66 is basically a TKL, it's just missing the F keys, really. Join the womier discord, other TKL users can give you suggestions.
To people saying it's cheaper to buy on bangood keep in mind bangood doesn't sell the hotswap version anymore. Source: I picked up one from bangood, 4 weeks later I saw that it's soldered-in. Aliexpress sells via kprepublic the k66 which is hotswap apparently for $69 or buy the yc66 high-profile barebones for $61.90 - Another thing to note the right shift key on this is not the 1.75u it's 2u. People use the 0-key from the numpad apparently and that works.
ronaldmpls1I'm a buyer from Kprepublic and here to give a head's up that Kprepublic/Aliexpress is out of stock till May even though I purchased one while it said it was in-stock. (Maybe Drop is bulk buying off Kprepublic/Aliexpress, HMMM)
So it's a good time to start buying from Drop to make sure you can snag a Womier while you still can.
hananimNo the Banggood does not have it at the time being. But I do agree that Aliexpress has the same one for the same price for the fewer switch options, and with free shipping, so I guess this deal is not the best, unless Drop.com can clearly tell us what that V2 means from a previous K66 hotswap model.
I would consider buying this if it came as an unassembled kit so that I can install my own switches. Any way the seller can offer this?
Also, is the PCB programmable? If not, hard pass.
