It appears that the "GCA9P 5 inch Santoku" is seriously mislabled. A quick search reveals that the correct label for Zhen GCA9P should be 6.5" Nakiri, which matches the picture. Big difference between a Santoku and a Nakiri in design and purpose. The Nakiri is a vegetable knife and not purposed for multiple slicing, dicing and mincing tasks like a Santoku. See the wikipedia entries for Nakiri and Santoku to understand the difference. The 5" Santoku on Amazon is #GC9P, not GCA9P. FWIW, the Zhen Damascus VG-10 set of 6.5" Santoku and 4.5" utility knife that I picked up last year on MD have become my favorite kitchen knives. They hold a 15 degree edge remarkably well, remaining scary sharp for daily use. I think I shall spring for the Nakiri in this drop. The price for this knife on Amazon is currently $58.
