yea to people upset I don't get the whole artisan cap thing to start with. I will admit some of them look cool but from what i have read there super delicate.. and most break. As far as a cat paw! come on there only so many way's to design a box. Obviously if the original artisan was made of metal then you might might have something otherwise.,. this is as bad as apple suing Samsung cause the phones had rounded corners and where box shaped... seriously.

Just wanted to add the local cat said he upset that KK stole his paw print with out permission. He leaves those in the mudd for others to enjoy.. not to profit off of ;).

HotRoderXI have quite a few artisans and have never had one break on me, not even a Jelly Key which are notorious for breaking. Have you seen KK's Meowcap? While you can certainly argue all the differences instead of the similarities I don't think it holds up. This is a very popular design KK has created and is clearly inspiration for this cap. Lot of differing opinions here but comparing an artists original work which is being replicated by someone else to Apple and Samsung phones is misguided imho. To each their own, I guess all you can really do is vote with your wallet.

NonsterThe point was trying to make is the shape is just so general. That saying its a forgery or knock off is impossible. There are only so many way's to shape a cat paw key.. there are only so many way's to shape a key cap for a mx stem. I am sure if we took 50 people asked them to design a paw shaped key cap... least 1 of them would design something exactly like another. I also bet all of them would be extremely similar in design. That's why I mentioned the samsung/Iphone lawsuit. Because at the end of the day. A phone is going to be a rectangular candy bar its the shape that works best for the application.
Perhaps this artist shouldn't have created such a basic keycap to start with? Most the ones I see are very intricately detailed. This is pretty basic by any standards. Its a paw its on a keycap.. its pretty much the universal paw for any cat species! Like said I just don't get this to me its like arguing that artisan cap isn't unique cause its shaped like every other key cap ever released

HotRoderXNothing against your opinion personally, I'm just posting here since it seems to be one of the more popular discussion threads.
KeyKollectiv has had multiple iterations of their Meowcap (meow as in cat). You can see how the design has been tweaked over the years from V1 to V3, which the ZOMO Kitty Paw (kitty as in also a cat) is the most similar.
Also for those of you asking how many ways are there to design a paw cap, Alveeno managed to figure it out.

HotRoderXLOL, I am guessing most of the broken ones are from jelly key(rip). Usually artisans are quite strong. this zomo one will be hard break. I totally agree with you. I think that because it's made metal, and not an exact design copy, I think it fair for zomo to make these caps.

Lilith_CainSo did ZOMO. This does not resemble the meowcaps.

Lilith_CainTo quote @NarcolepsyNick : " The paw print shape is noticeably different, the base of the keycap is different, and the material is different. "
